This begins my ninth year teaching at Children's Garden, but my family has been a part of the program for fifteen years. This year my daughter, Lauren, is a senior at Grand Blanc High School. Fifteen years ago, though, I was the mother of a 3-year-old. I stood in the same hallway, outside of the same door to drop her off for her first days of school. It's ironic that our family came full circle this way. I am physically in the same room where Lauren began her school career! I remember missing her for 2 1/2 hours and wondering if she was having fun. I also remember how much we both grew because of her steps toward independence.
Each day in preschool gives me the opportunity to watch children explore, learn and grow. I believe I'm probably having as much fun as Lauren did fifteen years ago!

Discussion Topics Birthday Snacks We love birthdays!We love to welcome special birthday snacks. We do, however, have to follow the healthy guidelines set by Grand Blanc Schools. We also need to pay special attention to allergies the children may have.
If you bake something to share, please include the ingredient list from the packages. If you buy a snack, please check and send in the ingredient lists. Healthy snack ideas include jello cups, fruit, rice crispie treats and unfrosted cookies. Section Web Pages |
